Loyalty Card Terms & Conditions

Article 1 – Subject Matter

Carrefour MYCLUB is a loyalty program operated by MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C, a limited liability company incorporated and existing under the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the local laws and regulations in Kenya, registered under trade license no. CPR/2014/160235 having its address at P.O. Box 2012-00621, Off Limuru Road - Northern Bypass, Nairobi, Kenya. MYCLUB loyalty program is applicable in all Carrefour Hyper & Market stores in Kenya.

Article 2 – Terms and conditions acceptance

The use of the MYCLUB program signifies the unconditional acceptance of the following terms and conditions that the subscriber acknowledges having read and accepted at the time of MYCLUB’s registration.

Article 3 – Membership

MYCLUB program is free of charge and can be collected at the customer service of all Carrefour hypermarkets and Carrefour Markets in Kenya for persons who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law (18 years and above).

To join Carrefour MYCLUB, the subscriber must be registered through the Mobile application.

MYCLUB card cannot be duplicated and/or used for any purposes other than those provided for in these terms and conditions. The card may not be transferred or used by anyone other than its subscriber and members of the household, for any reason.

Households can create joint accounts by following these steps:

1 person in the household registers on the MYCLUB app, select “get new Card” and gets attributed a MYCLUB card barcode/number.

The second person then register and selects “Add existing card”, enters the card number that was allocated to the first member who registered and follow the process to attach the card to his/her account.

Article 4 – Earning

MYCLUB card allows its cardholder to earn points and vouchers: (2.5) points for every 100 KES spent in and when making qualifying purchases at Carrefour and Carrefour Market stores in the Kenya.

In order to collect points, the customer must be scan the bar code at the checkout service before payment Points can be redeemed only once the App is registered.

The Customer can also earn further points when making purchases of goods through different promotions/offers, or received coupons that can be used against any future purchases, and subject to points and quantities limitation per offer/promotion.

Cardholders cannot earn points when purchasing the following items: gift cards, Para pharmacy, Cigarettes, existing and future services, gift vouchers or airtime.

Article 5 – Redeeming

INSTANT REDEMPTION – INSTORE ONLY: 

On the condition that the loyalty account is registered, when the Customer accumulates 10000 points/ KES.1000, they can start redeeming rewards at any Carrefour store in Kenya.

Redemption of points can only be used against the customer’s next purchase only in participating Carrefour and Carrefour Market stores in Kenya. 

The MYCLUB discount in the store is nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given.

Article 6 – Loyalty account information

Once the customer has done the registration through the mobile application, the customer can access/modify his/her loyalty account information:

  • At the customer service desk or by calling the customer call center.
  • On each receipt: information about previous and new points balance, vouchers, points earned, discount redeemed and awaiting collection.
  • On his/her Mobile App, the cardholder can modify his/her personal details anytime.

Article 7 – Claim and item refund

In case of a cardholder contesting missing points, or the points balance, the cardholder has seven days to formulate his claim to concerned store or to the customer call center.

In case of an item being refunded, the points earned from this item will be deducted from the MYCLUB account. If the MYCLUB account does not have sufficient number of points to deduct from the account, the difference will be deducted from the item refund.

Article 8 – Loss, theft, damage

MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. declines any responsibility during the period between the loss, theft or damage of a customer’s phone and the declaration of the loss, theft or damage by the customer.

Any points accrued during this loss on the MYCLUB program at the time of the declaration will be transferred to the new MYCLUB account.

Article 9 – Removal

MYCLUB card is the property of MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. and can be immediately suspended or terminated at the sole discretion of MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C at any time if, a Card Member:

  • Has breached these terms and conditions;
  • Has behaved fraudulently; has supplied false or misleading information to MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C; or in this case the customer will lose all the acquired benefits and any right of use.

If the MYCLUB program is not used during a continuous period of 12 months, MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. will disable the loyalty account and the cardholder will lose all the acquired benefits and will not be able to use his/her MYCLUB program anymore. If a customer wishes to close his/her account, he/she could do so with a written notification stipulating his/her demand, his/her name, last name, MYCLUB bar code and signature. If any customer claims back his points after deactivating his/her account Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets can still return him/her these points by transferring them to his/her new account.  

Article 10 – Responsibility

MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. is exempted from any responsibility for any direct or indirect consequences linked to any malfunction; nevertheless, it will do the best to keep all the program users’ acquired benefits.

MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. is exempted from any responsibility for any direct or indirect consequences linked to any fraudulent use or non-accordance use with these terms and conditions.

Article 11 – Terms and conditions modification or cancelation

MAJID AL FUTTAIM HYPERMARKETS L.L.C. reserves the right to modify or cancel some or all of these terms and conditions.

Article 12- General

These terms and any disputes or claims arising out of, or in connection with, its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the law in Kenya.
